I started out my career as an aspiring artist just wanting to create. Even at a young age I would spend countless hours living in my own imagination creating worlds with nothing more than pen, paper, my Father's camera and action figures in my Mother's plants. It was that desire to create that guided me on the path that I am on today.

PUSHING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE STYLE GUIDE

When working with larger brands like Marvel and DC you would expect their to be strict rules to their style guides but I have never been one to stick to the rules. The reception that I received from these licensors, as well as many other license holders, has been a guiding influence in always pushing the boundaries of my work, add your own style and never be afraid to try. The only way to set yourself apart and stand out amongst the crowd is to be who you truly are.

TONY HAWK'S 900: FLIP BOOK ANIMATION

Stone Arch Books were looking for a traditional flip-book style animation and luckily they had me in mind for this unique opportunity. Unfortunately I didn't have the capacity at the time to complete the project with their impending deadline. There was no way that I could complete that style of animation in their given time, unless.... I did something drastic. I pitched to Stone Arch that if we got HD footage of Tony's historic drop in on the 900 I could rotoscope it and complete the project well ahead of the deadline. My friends at Stone Arch reached out to amazing folks at the Tony Hawk Project and we got access to the HD footage. The rest is in the books as they say. It was a project that could have easily been scrapped but it's that little extra step that we all took to make that project all that more special.

LOGO DESIGN

Designing a logo takes a lot of time and research. It is the first thing that the end user sees that defines your brand. It is what sets you apart from your competition. The goal is always to deliver a design that is elegant, rememberable, and looks good at either 50 x 50 pixels or 50 x 50 feet.

WEB DESIGN

Growing up with video games I always took notice to the menu systems and the elegance of their design. The mixture of intricate patterns and buttons that guide you on your quest to rescue princesses, defeat villains, and save the day. My passion for gaming is what started me out in my career

I have been immersed in UI design for years but I have selected these specific URLs to showcase because these are designs that represent not only my design skills but my ability to create an efficient workflow. Utilizing a template I created, the magic of sprites, a little CSS trickery and some help from the best programmers I have ever worked with we could have a fully functional ecommerce site up in one week.
